Thomas Peltier Obituary

Thomas L. "Tom" Peltier

1937 - 2016

Thomas "Tom" L. Peltier of Wales, Wis., was born to Eternal Life Dec. 8, 2016, at Seasons Hospice in Waukesha, Wis., at the age of 79.

He was born in Kenosha on April 6, 1937, the son of Lawrence and Olga (nee Polath) Peltier. He earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from Marquette University and worked in accounting at UW-Parkside for many years. On June 22, 1963, he married Anita Schraufnagel; she preceded him in death on March 11, 1996. Tom then married Carol (nee Syganiak) Paepke on Feb. 23, 2002. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Genesee Depot and of St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church in Kenosha. Tom was an avid member of the Catholic Order of Foresters where he served as state secretary for 16 years. Most of all, he loved being with his family and will always be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

He will be deeply missed by his wife of 15 years, Carol Peltier of Wales; his children, Mary (Christopher) Wanta, Judith (Kenneth) Omernik, Steven (Cecilia) Peltier, Sheila (Aaron) Marshall and Melissa (David) Kuhnke; his step-children, David (Kathleen) Paepke, Dennis (Debi) Paepke and James (Laura) Paepke. He was the proud grandfather of Emily, Kaylan, Vince, Hannah, Bryan, Kate, Ben, Jason, Jonah, Jen, Marie, Grace, Anna, Luke, Madeline, Sophia, Theresa and Brynlee; step-grandchildren, Elizabeth (Tim), Taylor, Christopher, Jeffrey and Sarah. He is further survived by his brothers and sisters, Leo (Joan) Peltier, Suzanne (Dick) Loewen, Sally Peltier, Jerry (the late Ruth) Peltier, Dick (Ruth) Peltier and Dan (Mary) Peltier; his sisters-in-law, Eileen and Karen Peltier, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his first wife, Anita, and his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson Elliot, and brothers, Ray and Bill.

The first visitation will be Mon., Dec. 19, from 10 a.m. until the time of the 11 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Paul Catholic Church, S38 W31602 Hwy D, Waukesha, WI 53189 (corner of Hwy 83 and Hwy D in Genesee Depot).

A second visitation will be held Tues., Dec. 20, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the 10:30 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, 2020 91st Street, Kenosha, WI 53143.
