Albert WASHINGTON Obituary

WASHINGTON Albert Thomas, 61, beloved husband of Regina, died Feb 1, 2010. He retired from IBM and worked for Trane. He is preceded in death by his father, William Washington. In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his mother, Mary Washington; his children, Johnny (Brenda) Smith, Laura (David) Craig, Albert (Melissa) Washington, Jr., Darla (Buck) Morgan, Stephanie (Tony) Washington, James (Sherry) Smith, Cleveland (Amanda) Washington, and Denice (Mick) Penninger; two sisters, Shelia Daly and Susan Whitman; 17 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and special friends, Billy and Freda Hafley. Special thanks to Regina's siblings and their spouses. Funeral, Thu, 1:30pm, Milward-Southland with burial at Maple Grove Cemetery, Nicholasville, KY. Visitation Wed, 5-8pm. www.milwardfuneral.com

Dad, I wanted to say thanks for being my Dad. These past few months have been really hard, but I know it's more difficult for Jean. I truley love and miss you something terrible. I believe I'll miss the time we spent talking about UK Basketball and Reds baseball the most. Dad, it was truely a honor having you as my Dad. Say hi to Papaw Wash and God bless.
