Charles Willoughby Obituary

MT. STERLING - Charles William Willoughby, 87, passed away July 9, 2016. He was born March 13, 1929, in Montgomery County, KY to the late John French Willoughby and Fannie Rison Willoughby. He was a member of Oak Hill Church of Christ, Mt. Sterling. He was a veteran of the Korean War, a retired IBM employee, a farmer, an avid hunter and outdoorsman and, most of all, a loving husband and father. He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Ann Wells Willoughby, and his daughter, Rebecca Ann Willoughby. He is survived by his son, Charles Anthony ("Tony") Willoughby, of Winchester; his daughter, Bettye Willoughby Stiles, of Versailles; his sister, Mary Willoughby, of Mt. Sterling; his sister, Anna Geiger, of Dunkirk, IN; his brother Jackie Willoughby, of Mt. Sterling; his sister, Peggy Hatfield, of Hazard; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 11am, July 13, 2016, at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Mt. Sterling. Burial will be in Machpelah Cemetery, Mt. Sterling. Visitation is 5-8pm Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Thomson Hood Veteran Program Fund, 100 Veterans Drive, Wilmore, KY 40390.
