Parker Family. What a great man. First time I met Court I felt like we knew each other all our lives. He made a wonderful way to make you feel welcome, needed and part of the family.

Reading comments from other Airport Police/CFR members shows the Love and respect we all held for your husband, father, grand-father.

It was my pleasure to stop in once in a while and talk to him after leaving the airport. Our conversation picked up like time had stood still.

May you rest in peace dear friend. I know he will be waiting for us all one day so we can once again pick up our conversations.

God Bless

I was adopted into Court's family when I was 4 years old and Court was 14. From the very first day he was a wonderful brother to me. I have great memories of going fishing with him and him taking me to the firehouse when he was my babysitter. After I grew older and married, Court and Barb were not only family but were great friends too. Rog and I had such great times with them as a couple and wish we could have done more of that. Court and Barb's greatest legacy is the wonderful family they brought into this world. Court received love and gave love. He left this life feeling the love of his family and they were certain of his love. Nothing matters more.

Dear dad,
I will never forget all of the great times we spent together over the past 47 years and all of the many lessons you taught me about life. I appreciate you teaching me how to think things through, how to be a good husband, how to be a good dad to my sons, for demonstrating what true character is, for showing me a good work ethic and how to be a good, productive citizen. Watching you over these years has taught me more than you will ever know. Watching you go through the police academy at age 43 was an inspiration to me. I know it wasn't easy, but you did it. Dad, because of you, I became a police officer. Because of you, John is now a police officer and Matt is working at the airport in operations. That is an example of the great legacy you left for us. I truly hope you are proud of what you accomplished while here with us. Watching you get promoted and eventually becoming Chief at the airport was amazing to see. Even though you were always a supervisor, you never lost touch with the guys, the job, or why you were there. I could always tell that the guys at the airport loved and respected you for that. You were a great teacher, mentor, and leader, but you were never afraid to clean the station, wash a firetruck or empty a trash can. You inspired me to always do my best and do that little extra at whatever I did. As I look back over my 25 years on the job, I can honestly say that the ribbons on my chest all came from things you taught and showed me over the years. You daily demonstrated bravery, humility, commitment, knowledge, integrity, courage, and excellance. That is the definition of a true hero. I guess what I am trying to tell you and how I wish I could say to you directly.....
Dad, you always were and always will be my HERO !!!
Thank you for doing a great job being my dad and for being such a good husband to mom. I am proud to be your son.
Love, Brian

I Was A Young Man Of 23, Fresh Out Of the U.S. Navy As A Veteran Aircraft Crash Rescue Firefighter. When I Was Lucky Enough To Land A Similar Firefighter Job At The Then, Mercer County Airport, One Of The First Men I Met Was Court Parker... He Was Former Military, A Wealth Of Knowledge, Help, And Above All, A Friend....I Learned So Much From This Man Who You Could Immediately Tell Was A Natural "Teacher".....Court Came To Work Every Day With An Energy Most Men Half His Age Would Envy. He Kept You Motivated. He Had A Thirst For The Job, The Airport, His Family, And For Life....He Is, And Will Always Remain, A Man Who Is One Of Those Few Most Men Wish They Could Match In The Level Of His Character....He Is One Who Will Always Be There In Our Memories And Our Hearts ! Courtlandt F. Parker, My Teacher, My Friend,,,, Rest In Peace, Knowing I, And Most Of All, WE, Will Never Forget You ! ! We Will Never Leave Behind The Memories Of Our Fallen Brother....
