Dear Harold,We were so sorry to hear of Dave's death. He was a rock in so many ways, but also so funny and so warm. I was glad at least to bump into him some times at Krogers after you moved away. He was lavish in the description of your new house.Hang in there. We're thinking of you,
Love,

MARINE.
Few earn the title United States Marine, once earned, they are Marines forever.
When they die their Honor clean, they stand before Heavens gates and see two signs, Eternal Peace and Marines.
Below the sign Marines, is a path, the Marine follows the path to a Quonset Hut, knocks three times and enters.
Behind a table stand two Marines,Colonel Lewis B.Puller and Sergeant Major Dan Daly.
The SgtMaj. hands the Marine a Quill Pen and bottle of Red Black Ink, he signs his name to the duty roster, after which his Heavenly Robes fade replaced by standard Marine Corps issue.
The Marine smiles, does a right face and out the Hatch to the Yellow Footprints to muster as the USMC Devil Dog Division..
The Marines purpose is clear, to fight the forces of evil for all eternity under the command of the ultimate Commander-In-Chief,
GOD ALMIGHTY.

Dear Harold,
You have been in my thoughts frequently over the past few days. Although I did not know David well, I remember his accompanying you to several arts events, especially at the Downtown Arts Center. His appreciation and enjoyment were always apparent.
We grieve deeply for the loss of a long-time companion and friend. I hope that the good memories and happy times you and David shared will provide you solace. My sympathy to David's family. Tale care, Harold.
Fondly,
Dee
