To Cass and her brother Donard, and all family of Dr.Dwyer,
Dr. Dwyer took care of me when i wemnt to the Emergency room in october of 2007 with a broken elbow. He took xrays and was very easy handling my arm and was gentle and kind, understanding of the pain i was in. i later had to have elbow replacement surgery due to extent of the injuries from a bad fall. He was so very thoughtful and he apologized for the pain i had to go through while having to examine my elbow and arm for its injury. He said "You are very tough aren't you" and smiled.Because i was not crying with all that pain.he could not get over me not screaming or anything. (it is just the way i am and hold things inside). He smiled again and said, "You can scream or yell if you want to,i won't be offended. You have to be in a lot of pain with that elbow"(it was shattered into fragments).
Dr.Dwyer Had a wonderful sense of humor which put me immediately at ease.

He immediately called for the UK ambulance to take me from the Good Samaritan to the University hospital which he laughingly called it "the Big UK". He took excellent care of me and also when i had to go to the emergency room again in november of 2008. he took care of me when i had kidney stones. he sent me right up to where i got a CT scan which showed my right kidney was full of large stones and he patted me on the arm and said,"Don't worry we will take very good care of you.i will give you something to help the pain and i have already gotten in contact with a Dr. in urology from the "Big UK". We will get you fixed up in no time". The dr. he helped me get was the chief surgeon of urology. Talk about getting taken good care of!! I had emergency surgery that night for the stones.
He took such wonderful care of his patients and i will forever be grateful for his patient manner and his kindness.
He was a wonderful and very sweet man. I did not know until just now about his passing. i did not see it in the newspaper at time of his passing. i don't get a paper daily. I would have written this at the time.

Cass and Donard, i know he loved you both very much!! He talked about his children while he would be taking care of me, telling me about his son and daughter. He spoke about you both with much pride and love. :-)
God Bless You and your family at this difficult time.i know he will be missed deeply by all who knew him well, as also his patients who were very lucky to be seen by him both here and in Florida. Debbie Neal
