I need to make peace with my husband's departure away from me at this time. My candle will burn untill there is no wax left to it. No wind, no rain, no other form of anything ,will be able to take the light away, not untill it has burned it's ownself totally out!
Gene was more than a candle in the wind, he was a flame that did not burn out. Love my babe 4 ever, Cindy Jean Laba

I will continue to be Cindy. I will never stop for a split second to change . I am me, that happens to be why you loved me so much, As I you !

Cindy and Blaine you know I love you and I am deeply sorry for your loss. I loved Gene very much and he was so much fun on our trip to Florida. He was always nice to me and I will never forget that. I miss seeing and talking to him. Love you all. I will always be here for you.

Cindy and Little Blaine, I am so sorry about Gene. We all loved him so much and enjoyed working with him. He will be greatly missed by everyone. You are both in everyone's prayers and Cindy, we will take care of Blaine and be there for him. He is a special member of our dealership "family".

I will always have a place for Gene in my heart, for he taught me so much when I was hired to sell cars 10 years ago and be on his team. He gave me thicker skin to handle the rejections, the tough customers, and the tough co-workers. He was in so many ways the foundation of the career that I now have, and I don't think I'd have it without him being a mentor to me.
I'll miss the jokes, the kind words he seemed to have for me almost all the time, and the advice, whether it be a good closing technique or to make sure and eat at Primanti Brothers Deli while in Pittsburgh.
Cindy and Blaine, please know how truly blessed you were to have Gene as a husband and father. I'm honored to have worked for and with him, and I hope you find comfort in this time of loss. He was a good man, and we'll miss him.

Dear Cindy,
I am so very sorry for your loss. I hope this poem will always bring you joyous memories of your husband, whom we all know you loved so much.
Your Friend,

If Tears Could Build A Stairway
If tears could build a stairway,
And memories a lane,
I would walk right up to heaven,
And bring you back again.
No farewells words were spoken,
No time to say ?goodbye?,
You were before I knew it,
And only God knows why.
My heart still aches with sadness,
And secret tears still flow,
What meant to love you-
No one can ever know.
But now I know you want me,
To mourn for you no more,
To remember all the happy times,
Life still has much in store.
Since you?ll never be forgotten,
I pledge to you today-
A hollowed place within my heart,
Is where you?ll always stay.

The planet is now changed...and heaven will now have the joy of knowing Gene as we have known him!
Gene, you will be greatly missed, just sit back and laugh as we here continue to goof up things. And remember one day we will see each other again.
To Blaine...be strong because he is in a better place and he will always watch over you. Remember that the best of you was all from Gene.
My prayers are with you and your family

Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.
