Frank Bowen Obituary

Frank Lair Bowen, age 76, a lifelong resident of Harrison County, died Wednesday, March 19, 2003 at his home near Renaker. Born in Harrison County, August 22, 1926, to the late A.B. and Ruth Lair Bowen, he was a self employed land development contractor for over 50 years and a farmer. He was a member of the Colemansville Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), a charter member of the Berry Lions Club and a World War II Army veteran. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Bowen. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Helen Edwards Bowen and children, Charles (Jennifer) Bowen of Williamstown, Nancy Sautter of Hebron, Ohio and Linda (Tim) Shuffett of Columbus, Indiana; six grandchildren, Tracie Johnson, Brandon and Rebecca Bowen, Eli Sautter, Hayden and Erin Shuffett; two great grandchildren, Katie and Cameron Johnson and two sisters, Alberta Tussey of Cynthiana and Nell Gaffin of Carlisle. Services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday at Ware Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Pythian Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass or charity of choice. Guest book at Legacy.com.
