George Lawson

LAWSON George, 94 of Rt. 3, Loudon, TN, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Mon, June 25, 2007. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. George was a coal miner for 25 years and enjoyed gardening, hunting, and fishing in his retirement. Preceded in death by his wife, Martha; infant sons, Donald and Lewis; father and mother, Lewis and Martha Lawson; brothers, Rant and Jeff; sisters, Lizzie, Mallie, Dora, Ella, Virgie and Fannie; sons-in-law, Matt Caldwell, Jim Miles and Thedford Reese; granddaughter, Barbara Ann Reese and grandsons, Dustin and Justin Harvey. Survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Leonard and Bonnie Lawson of Lexington, KY; daughters, Fannie Reese of Bowling Green, Ky, Marie Caldwell, Irene Miles, Ramona Miles and husband, Archie all of Kingston, Sarah Foshee, Charity Garner and husband, Wayne of Lenoir City, Gearldine Palmer and Gene Craig of Loudon; sisters, Lucy, Bessie and Hester; 20 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 20 great great grandchildren. The family would like to thank his caregivers, Sarah Alsaffar and Tracy Gimblett for all their loving care. The family will receive friends from 5-8pm Wed, June 27th at Fellowship Baptist Church in Lenoir City. A celebration of his life will follow at 8pm at the church with Rev. Eddie Chasteen officiating. Family and friends will gather at 11am Thu at Pine Grove Cemetery for graveside services. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
