Lexington, Kentucky - Jeff Kessler passed away on Nov. 21, 2021 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Jeff was born on Aug. 7, 1946 in Lexington, KY to Edward and Ruth Kessler. He graduated from Bryan Station High School and attended Eastern Kentucky University. After serving in the U.S. Army, he began his career in retail sales with Wennekers Shoe Store. He later opened Jeff's Stride Rite Bootery in Fayette Mall. In the early 1980's Jeff began a career in residential development and custom home building. Jeff was a member of Temple Adath Israel, Lexington Rotary Club and Lexington Country Club. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Eli Mitchell, and is survived by his wife, Jean Lovern Kessler, his brother, Michael Kessler, son, Keene Kessler, son-in-law, Trigg Mitchell and grandchildren Grace and Emily Mitchell and Jackson, Madison, and Harrison Kessler. Services will be held on Tuesday, Nov.30, 12:30 pm, Milward-Broadway, 159 N. Broadway. www.milwardfuneral.com

I´m just now learning of Jeff´s passing. I didn´t know him well, but always remember his sweet smile and friendly greeting whenever we met. Butch and I send condolences to Jeff´s family. Butch and Sherry Rambo
