Yorba Linda, California - Joe Brooks Williams, aged 93, passed away on September 11, 2024, in Yorba Linda, CA. Born on March 29, 1931, Joe dedicated 42 years of his life to the Kentucky Extension Service and the 4H program, significantly impacting his community and beyond.
Joe earned his PhD from the University of Kentucky, an achievement that underscored his lifelong commitment to education and community service. He was a fervent reader and played a significant role at the Friends of the Lexington Public Library as a committed volunteer.
He was a devout member of the Calvary Baptist Church, where he actively participated in various church activities, reflecting his strong faith and dedication to his community.
Joe was the beloved husband of the late Joyce Crady Williams, with whom he shared 67 wonderful years. He is survived by his son, Jason Williams; daughter-in-law, Claudine Williams; and his grandchildren, Ethan and Camille Williams, all of Yorba Linda, CA.
A Celebration of Life will be organized in his honor at a future date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Friends of the Lexington Public Library or the Kentucky 4H Foundation, organizations that were very close to his heart. Joe's legacy will live on through his family, his service, and his contributions to his community.

Joe was a highly motivated and caring person. He paved a way for himself as well as many others. He very much loved his family. I could listen to his stories from Texas to Kentucky and never be bored. He had a profound impact on how I interact with folks. I will miss him.
