I just wanted to say John was the most genuine, honest person. I have called him many times at two homes now and cant believe he was taken. I will pray for his wife,family and friends. Such a loss.

Togetherness
Death is nothing at all. I have only slipped away into the next room. Everything remains exactly as it was. Whatever we were to each other, we still are. Call me by my old familiar name. Speak of me in the same easy way you always have. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be spoken without an effort, without the ghost of a shadow upon it. Life means all that it ever meant. Why should I be out of your mind because I am out of your sight? I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. One brief moment and all will be as it was before - only better. Infinitely happier. We will be one, together forever.

Bud's nature taught so many. May we all take a special piece of Bud, nuture that piece, grow that piece and carry on his SMILE,DEVOTION and SPIRIT forever. For that special piece of Bud is the piece of whom we all have become, he taught each of us. Thank you Bud for teaching us to be patient,kind and better to others. How lucky, and HONORED we each are. To the Dacci family,
Very few things in this world make us stop or even take notice anymore. There is so much madness and craziness.
This made me stop in my tracks and bow my head and pray for Bud and for all of the Dacci family. My heart goes out to you all and you are in my thoughts and my prayers. I cannot fathom the depth of your loss and I am still stunned by the news.

Growing up across from your family on Jasmine Drive meant being blessed with an extra family. Jane and I spent a lot of time together and Bud was like an extra big brother to me. I thought he was so handsome and so nice. Even as a boy he was the epitome of a gentleman.

He stayed at our store in Mitchell's Bay.

as a toddler, he was my first immage of cool. Bud always recognized my admiration, and always made space in his life for a nefew that wanted to be there. he was one of the most beloved and important people in my life, not at any single moment or era, but consistantly from the day i was born. luckily for my generation and the new one behind us, our entire family flows with the strength and uncompromisable goodness that Bud possessed. I love and miss you, Uncle Bud.

My heart goes out to John, Margie, Sue, Jim, Janie and Steven. I was so saddened when I heard the news. I can't imagine how hard this must be on all of you. Bud was always such a good, good guy! I will always cherish all of the camping trips and all the happy memories of our time with the Dacci family growing up. When explaining to my husband my relationship with you all, I merely said 'they were really more like our cousins, even more than our own blood cousins'. Paula and I want to send our prayers to you and your family. Bud came to work on our A/C right after I had my first of two hip replacements. We laughed about our times at Beaumont while on the football team. I was not able to pay for his complete service, since I had just got of the hospital, but Bud was there in my time of need.
He was truly a great friend.

I grew up with John on Jasmine Dr. We went to grade school, junior high and high school together and of course, the Class of 74. I still had contact with Bud and Jim as they were my dependable HVAC men that I needed at least once a year. Life is certainly not fair........My heart goes out to the Dacci family.

I was best friends with Jane Dacci in the 7th grade. I practically lived at their house.. Jim and Bud were always coming and going but so fun to be around . I particularly remember the respect that the kids had for their Mom and especially the" BIG" Italian Papa. Bud 's smile was Dazzling and his humility and kindness to other did not go unnoticed. I was one of the many that grew up in Garden Springs and have known Bud and Maryann since grade school, along with both the Dacci and Bishop families. I am deeply saddened by the loss of Bud. He was the one person that everybody liked in school. His eyes always lit up when he smiled. Please know that Bud touched many people’s hearts and will be sadly missed.

Bud was a ray of sunshine. He was always willing to lend his time to help in any way he could, from repairing a dock to lending his tools. As neighbors, we were privileged to spend much time with Bud and Maryann. We will cherish those times together. His sense of humor was like no other. Even after moving from Herrington Lake, it would brighten our travels to pass Bud and see him wave and smile. Our hearts are broken.

In the autumn of '69 I had just moved to Lexington from far away, and felt so isolated and alone. Bud Dacci, a very popular lad at Beaumont Junior High, offered me nothing but kindness and support when it would have been far easier and more fashionable to have been unpleasant. The magnitude of his character was evident even at that early age. I will never, ever forget. There's another very, very bright star in the sky now.

What can one really say about Bud Dacci. Such a very humble and caring person. A heart as big as a mountain. I had the previlage of growing up with Bud and his family in our neighbor hood 'Garden Springs'. All very caring people. We did alot of running together, he was one of my peers that I looked up to. Bud taught me so much about just being a good person and treating others the right way. His smile was priceless. There where seven of us, Bud being one (seventh street MC) that rode motorcycles together everywhere and all night long sometimes. Those memories will last forever and the bonds that where developed. A true gentleman that will be missed by many and remebered by many also. We have lost a good man and I hope that we who are left will find the rode that Bud traveled so we can too can be such a fine honest, humble, gentle human like Bud was. In reading through the entries that proceed this one, I see that many have captured the beautiful essence of the Bud Dacci known to me for many years. Early in my exposure to Bud I formed the opinion that he was a good man, a term I do not use lightly. My opinion never changed over the 20 years I knew him. The world will miss his smile, his skills and his upbeat personality.

"Bud" was an honorable and kind man of whom always had the time to help us in time of need. Bud helped not only myself,but my Mother,Grandmother and Brother with Heat and Air services over the years. Always a top notch technician,honest and thankful for the business. Bud also was a customer of mine for quite a few years. Being in the boat business Bud and I frequented paths over the years at the dealership as well as on the water fishing in tournaments. Bud, was a fine man and I will miss hiskind demeanor and friendship. On behalf of my family, we would like to wish all the best to the Dacci family during this time. Rest in peice. Bud was my best friend through Jr.,High and High School. He was a wonderful friend and a person who I aspired to be like.
