John Dave Wilson

1951 - 2018

Georgetown- John Dave Wilson, age sixty-six, passed away Friday, March 2, 2018 at the Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born July 18, 1951 in Somerset, Kentucky and was the son of the late James T. and Maxine Jewell Russell Wilson. John worked thirty years with Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky, in Georgetown. As a Group Leader and one of the initial employees of TMMK, John was instrumental in the startup and growth of the Kentucky plant. John was a member of Ducks Unlimited Chapter in Scott County. He received a Bachelor's Degree from Virginia Military Institute in Math and Physics and his Master's Degree from Eastern Kentucky University. John is survived by his children, Emily Catherine Wilson of Lexington, Kentucky, Christina Elizabeth Wilson and David Andrew (Brittany) Wilson, both of Somerset, Kentucky. He is also survived by his brother, James Russell Wilson, of Hubert, North Carolina, and his sister Laura Ann Bosworth of Lexington, Kentucky. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 10 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home with a 1:00 P.M. service with Pastor Claude Hoffman officiating. Burial will follow the service at Georgetown Cemetery with pallbearers being Andrew Wilson, John Wilson, Louie Bosworth, James Wilson and Mike Bryant.
