Leslie Williams Obituary

Leslie Williams, age 65, of Clintonville Road in Paris, passed away Monday, May 19, 2003, at his residence. Born September 24, 1937, in Nicholas County, he was a son of the late Bernie Williams and Mary Rice Johnson Williams. He was a retired employee at the Bluegrass Army Depot and also from Freedom Dodge. He was a member of the Jehovah Witness Church. He was a US Air Force and Army Veteran. Survivors include his daughters, Gypsie Williams of Paris, Karla Williams of Louisville, Tonya Williams of Florida; sons, Derrick and Andre Williams, both of Lexington; brothers, Harry Williams of Williamsburg, VA, Albert Williams of Middletown, OH, and Floyd Williams of Dayton, OH; sisters, Rosemary Compton of Carlisle, Elsie Davis of Paris, Betty Sue Williams of New York, Elizabeth Buckner of Paris, Charlene Lang of Mayslick; grandson, Stephon Williams of Paris; granddaughters, Elena M. Williams of Louisville and Shalynn Williams of Lexington. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sonia Elena Williams, and a host of brothers and sisters. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Friday, May 23, 2003, at Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home with Rev. Morgan Gilkey officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Heights Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11 AM Friday at the funeral home. Guest book at Legacy.com

On behalf of myself and my co-workers at Freedom Dodge, I would like to send our condolenses to the children and family of Leslie. He was a very sweet and funny guy and he lived his life to the fullest. I feel blessed to have known him. Please enjoy your memories of him and my God bless you and keep you.
