Mark Anthony Swim

ASHLAND - Mark Anthony Swim, 37, of Georgetown, KY went to Heaven on Thu, Oct 30, 2008. He was the husband of Melinda (Kouns) Swim and the father of two daughters, Rachel Elizabeth and Sophia Isabella. He was the son of Floyd Swim of Ashland and Clara Swim of Iron Gate, VA and brother to Terri Griffith of Iron Gate, VA and Joe Swimm of Ashland. Mark was an uncle to Wesley and Aloura Griffith, both of Iron Gate, VA, and Melissa Swimm of Ashland. He was a son-in-law to William and Carlene Kouns of Coal Grove, OH, a brother-in-law to William Kouns, Jr. of Nicholasville, KY and uncle to Katlin Kouns of Cross Lanes, WV. Mark was a 1989 graduate of Greenup County High School and was currently attending Ashford University completing his bachelor's degree in organizational management. He was employed by Ryder Integrated Logistics in Georgetown, KY as a commercial truck driver. He attended Victory Life Church in Georgetown, KY and was an avid fisherman who loved God and his family. A memorial service will be held on Wed, Nov 5, 2008 at Westwood Christian Baptist Church - 713 Wheatley Road in Ashland, KY at 7pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to The Swim Educational Fund at any National City Bank location. Marshall Steen Funeral Home will be in charge of the memorial service.
