Michael BERRY Obituary

BERRY Michael Shan, 54, the loving husband of Xandria Berry, died Mon, Feb 22, 2010. He was born July 23, 1955 in Cleveland, OH; the oldest son to the late Mae Frances Berry. He faithfully served as an officer and minister in the Lexington Branch Institute of Divine Metaphysical Research (IDMR), where the members knew him as Papa Beary because of his gentle nurturing spirit. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Michael and Solomon Berry; his daughter, Lacresha Berry; two brothers, Larry Berry and Ricky Berry; seven grand and four step grandchildren; two aunts, Ethel Berry and Florine Berry; one uncle, Leon Berry; and a host of cousins and friends. Michael's legacy is his life's testament: the true gospel of the kingdom. He desired that we not dwell on him after the flesh, but for whom he really was, Yahshua within. In honor of Michael's life and legacy, a Memorial service will be Sat, March 6, 2010, 2pm at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing, followed by a Gathering of Friends and Family from 3-6pm. www.clarklegacycenter.com

Mike was always a support and encouragement to all that knew him. He no longer has to wrestle with the infirmities of that body, and will always be remembered. My condolences to the family as we remember and celebrate his life.

To Suzie, Lacresha, Michael and Solomon, We send our sincerest and deepest sympathy for your loss. Just because of what we all know is true, Dr. Kinley has brought us to this point to see what this existence is all about but he has provided in us a mechanism to remember, to feel, to laugh, to smile and to grieve. Yahshua is the Comforter. Our hearts will always remember and celebrate Michael. We love you Suzie, Lacresia, Michael and Solomon.

Hey Xandria, Lacresha, Michael and Solomon. I love you guys and send my condolences. I appreciate all of the love and support all of you gave through the years. Michael was my Uncle/Brother who I respected and will miss seeing physically. I always chuckle when I think about the first time I heard him incorrectly say the word "im-PO-tent" from the floor, I was cracking up just as everyone else in class that day in Lexington! I love you all and will see you soon. Bianca Burwell and Family
