Neal W. TEVIS

TEVIS Neal W, 92, husband of Mary Louise Tevis, died Fri, June 22, 2012 at the VA Hospital. Born in Madison Co., KY, he was a son of the late Richard and Florence Tevis. He was retired from Bluegrass Army Depot and was a WWII Army veteran. He was an avid bridge player. He was a member and deacon emeritus at Arlington Christian Church and member of the DAV and the American Legion. Survivors other than his wife are four children, Bonnie J. (Clarence) Steele, Peggy (Durbin) Comley, Lynda McMillen and Steve G. (Johnny Orona) Tevis; grandchildren, Terry (Richard) Royster, Jason Greene, Jesse Tevis-Orona, Debra Tevis-Orona and Johanna Tevis-Orona, all of Lexington, Jeffery Holt and Kim (Robert) Snapp, both of Paris, David (Julie) Steele, Georgetown, and Rachel (John Bush) Tevis-Orona, Frankfort; eight special great-grandchildren; a sister, Bertha Tevis McAughan, TX; and a sister-in-law, Stephanie T. Jewett, MA. He was preceded in death by eight other siblings. Funeral services will be 11am Mon at Arlington Christian Church. Burial will be in Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4pm Sun at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Main St. and 10-11am Mon at the church.
