Nelson McCall Obituary
August 18, 1935 - May 7, 2024
Lexington, Kentucky - Nelson T. McCall, 88, of Lexington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 7, 2024; born on Aug. 18, 1935, in Montgomery County, Kentucky, to the late Alonzo and Gertrude McCall. Nelson was an International Farm Youth Exchange participant and was heavily involved in 4-H Club. Nelson graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a chemistry degree and taught briefly before starting his sales career. He was the proud owner of McCall Lighting and Distributing Company and invested in numerous real estate properties. In addition to his parents, Nelson was preceded in death by his brother Brooks McCall, and sister Mary Daley. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Cornett McCall; his 4 children Tom McCall, John (Heather) McCall, Katie (Jeff) Bradshaw, and Sally Ross; as well as 12 grandchildren, 2 great-grandsons, and many nieces and nephews. He loved spending time on his boat and enjoyed fishing and gardening. Nelson will always be remembered for his witty and energetic personality. Details at www.carecremationservice.com
