Patsy Cox Obituary
June 9, 1935 - October 19, 2022
Lexington, Kentucky - Patsy June Scott Cox – June 9th, 1935 to October 19, 2022. Born to Robert Clay and Nora Snelling Scott of Carlisle Kentucky. She is preceded in death by her sisters Marquerite Scott, Willa Mae Scott, Nancy Carolyn Scott Guance, Betty Jo Scott Kearney, Helen Jane Scott, and by her brothers Marion Clay "Tommy" Scott and Donald Lee Scott, and her husband James Archie Cox Jr. Patsy married Archie Cox on November 18th, 1958 and the two settled in Lexington, KY. Patsy is survived by her only son Charles Cox and his wife Julie and their 3 sons, Elijah, Evan, and Ian James. The grandsons were the delight in her life and she contributed greatly as a spoiling grandmother. She is also survived by a host of nephews and nieces which always brought joy to her life. Patsy's loves included square dancing, fishing, garage sales, visiting Kentucky State parks, attending all her grandchildren's activities, and University of Kentucky basketball. She also contributed knitted blankets for newborn babies to Harrison Memorial in Cynthiana. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that donations would be made to Down Syndrome Association of Central Kentucky, 2265 Harrodsburg Road Suite 370, Lexington KY 40504. Kerr Brothers-Harrodsburg Road is in charge of arrangements.

We loved her and Uncle Jimmy so muck and they are and will be missed so very much . She always asked about our family and how they were doing and you could hear the love in her voice . If they came to Walmart and Katy was with us they would buy her a Christmas Barbie or some other kind of toy when she was about 2 years old. AS of late I haven't been able to call her very much but I have always been thinking about her and keeping her in my prayers . God bless you all and we love everyone of you .
