Peter Brenton Pryor

PRYOR Peter Brinton, DVM, was born in Denver, Colorado on April 25, 1955 and died of esophageal cancer on September 28, 2013. He is survived by his mother Phyllis, his wife Lucie Van Meter, and his children Peter and Elizabeth Alden. He is also survived by a sister Susan (John) Willson of Denver, CO, and a brother Michael (Marianne) Pryor of Lander, WY; Aunt Petie Pryor of Pueblo; nephews, nieces and cousins. He was predeceased by his father Wilbur Myron Pryor and grandparents Dr. and Mrs. William T. Brinton of Denver, and Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Pryor of Pueblo. Pete attended Colorado State University for three years and the School of Veterinary Medicine. He was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and served as president of the chapter. He completed an internship and residency in equine surgery at the University of California, Davis. In 1985 he returned to practice in Lexington, KY. His specialities were lameness and orthopedics. The family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses, staff, veterinarians, friends, and family for their care, visits and encouragement. A memorial mass will be held at the Cathedral of Christ the King on October 12, 2013 at 10am with a luncheon following.
