Raynell Rambo Obituary

RAMBO Raynell Taylor, passed away May 7, 2008 at McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville. She was born in Seneca, SC on Nov 25, 1918 to Benjamin and Alloe Elkin Taylor. Formerly of Lexington, KY, she moved to Simpsonville in 1995 and had made her home for the past year with her son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Anita Miller. She was currently a member of Simpsonville United Methodist Church and had previously been a member of Epworth Methodist Church in Lexington, KY from 1951-1995 where she taught in the children's department for many years. She was also a leader of the WMU and volunteered for any church activities when needed. She was a member of the Fayette County Homemakers Club in Lexington, and was a graduate of Lee College in Cleveland, TN. Surviving are a son, Ronald Miller and wife Anita of Simpsonville; a stepdaughter, Lynette Pratt and husband Max of Muncie, IN; a sister, Mabel Bolt of Central, SC; six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John Edgar Rambo Sr., step-son, John Edgar Rambo Jr., sister, Ruth Pickens and brother, Sam Taylor. Funeral services will be 2pm Sun at Peaks Mill Christian Church in Frankfort, KY, officiated by Dr. Harold Dorsey, followed by burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 1-2pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice, 6000 Pelham Road, Suite B., Greenville, SC 29615; or to Open Arms Hospice, 1836 W. Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680.

We are sad at the passing of Mrs. Rambo. We loved Raynell at the old Epworth (now The Rock / La Roca UMC). We will pray for you. God Bless You !

We pray the Tender Mercies, Healing, and Blessings of God remain forever with the family and friends of Raynell Rambo. May the Peace and Love of our Lord Jesus Christ be included. Plus the Guidance and Comfort of our Blessed Holy Spirit.
