Robert E. Griffith

Robert E. Griffith, 66, husband of Joyce Sexton Griffith, died 7:30 a.m. Thursday at his home at 2500 White-Turley Rd., Clark County. A native of Dayton, Ohio, he was the son of Eddie Mae Kerns Griffith, Winchester, and the late George E. Griffith. He was the owner of Robert Griffith Construction Company and was a member of the Donaldson Road Baptist Church. Additional survivors include a son, Bobby Wayne "Coon" Griffith, Clark County; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Eva G. and Donald Ray Harris, Winchester, Brenda Gail Risner, Winchester; two brothers, and a sister-in-law, George Michael Griffith, Winchester, and David Thomas and Jill Griffith, North Middletown, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. today at the Edgington-Taylor Funeral Home by Rev. Cecil W. Curtis. Burial will be in the North Middletown Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Hovis, Vernon Dunn, Gary Lawson, Larry Lawson, Tolbert Taylor, Adrian Hatton, James Strange, David Scott Griffith. Honorary Pallbearers are Scott Farris, Joe Soares, Bill Lee, Scott Ramsey, Tom Barnes, David Rogers, Shannon Stone, Carroll Arnold, Carl Abney, Sam Dyer, Donnie Biddle and Harold Shelley.
