Robert Ham

HAM Robert Lee, 85, widower of Ann Christine Egalite "Teeny" Ham, died Sun, Aug 24, 2014 at his residence in Versailles, KY. He was born Aug 27, 1928 in Lexington, KY, and was the son of the late John Phillip and Mary Katherine Feck Ham. Bob was a meat department manager and employee of A&P for 25 years and was also employed in food service for over nine years at the University of Kentucky. He was a member of Tates Creek Christian Church. Bob loved playing golf and riding motorcycles. He had a fun sense of adventure and loved to travel. Everyone was drawn to his warm and friendly personality. He was genuine, appreciative and honest. Bob had a wonderful sense of humor, laughed easily, and loved to joke. He loved his family and was a wonderful father, husband, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Survivors include one son, Steven (Diana) Ham, Versailles, KY; two daughters, Barbra Richeson, Lexington, KY, and Jenny (Phil) Butler, Shelter Cove, CA; four grandchildren, Michelle Miller, Bre Ximenes, Ryan Ham and Lynsey (Jonathan) Henderson; three great-grandchildren, Gabriel Ximenes, Mya Henderson and Landry Henderson; and three sisters, Ann and Betty Ham and Polly Hayden, all of Lexington, KY; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Ham; and a sister, Dot Jenkins. Funeral services will be 11:30am Thu at Tates Creek Christian Church, 3150 Tates Creek Rd., Lexington, KY, by Rev. Kim Beckwith and Dr. Brad Walden. Entombment will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5-8pm Wed at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd.
