Lexington, Kentucky - Robert Lee McCoy Sr, 82, of Lexington, KY passed away on January 25, 2025. He was born on November 28, 1942, in Lexington, KY to the late Cleveland and Clarine McCoy. Robert was a retired veteran of the United States Navy (Seabees). He was also a lifelong electrician for several different companies. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at the various American Legion and VFW Posts in Lexington. He loved playing pool, and was a member of the Lexington Travel Pool League for 20+ years. Robert is survived by his two sisters, Betty (Dale) Blythe of Lexington, KY and Faye Belt of Muncie, IN; his two sons, Robert McCoy Jr of Lexington, KY and Bryan McCoy of Lawrenceburg, KY; his granddaughter Lynsey (Morgan) Terry-Craig of Frankfort, KY; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00pm on Monday, April 7th, 2025 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, 3421 Harrodsburg Road, Lexington, KY 40513. The Funeral Service will be held at 12:30pm on Tuesday, April 8th, 2025 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Lexington Humane Society.
