Florencs, Kentucky - R. Scott Borders, 59 of Florence, passed away surrounded by his family on November 8, 2021. Scott was born on May 2, 1962 in Ashland, KY to the late Earl and Marcia Sue Borders. Scott earned his Juris Doctorate at Chase Law School and worked for 31 years as an attorney. He was then appointed as an Administrative Law Judge for 15 years in Workers Comp, two of those years being a Board Member. Scott is survived by his wife of 40 years together: Sue Borders, daughters: Madi (Ian Roe) Borders and Alli (Colton Dolezal) Borders, brother: Earl "Rick" Richard Borders, sisters: Marcia Hunt and Angela Childers, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews,great-great nieces, and a host of very close and dear friends. He will be truly missed by everyone's lives he touched. A time of visiting and sharing memories will be held Early Spring 2022 at Linnemann Funeral Homes, Burlington.
