Lexington, Kentucky - Shawn Michael Wiglesworth, known affectionately as Shawn to his friends and family, passed away on April 26, 2025, at the age of 54.
Born on March 16, 1971, in Lexington, Kentucky, Shawn was a proud family man and husband, treasuring every moment spent with his wife, Michelle Wiglesworth, and his cherished children, Rachael and Jack Wiglesworth. He also embraced his role as a stepfather to Jackson Hargis and Ella Hargis with open arms and a full heart. His mother, Patsy Wiglesworth, was a source of unwavering support and love throughout his life. His father, George Wiglesworth, whom he had great admiration, respect, and love for, predeceased Shawn.
Professionally, Shawn was the epitome of dedication and commitment. As a STAR Manufacturing Manager, he was respected for his great work ethic and his ability to lead and inspire his team. His contributions to the industry and his associated involvement were significant, and he left an indelible mark on the professional community.
Outside of work, Shawn was a man of many interests, with a particular affection for golf and outdoor activities. Shawn was an avid athlete who shared his passion by coaching and mentoring many on the ball field. Shawn's love for the outdoors was only matched by his love for his family. He was happiest when spending time with his loved ones.
Shawn's life was a testament to courage and bravery. A Service will be held at the Signature Club of Landsdowne, 3256 Lansdowne Drive Lexington, KY 40502, on May 4 at 2:00 pm followed by a Celebration of Life from 3:00-5:00 pm. Please come and go as you please.
