For me, Sherry was the anchor of our greyhound rescue project in Lexington and the surrounding counties. The amount of time she spent in her quest to save as many dogs as possible was remarkable. It truly represented a labor of love that knew no bounds. Her goal was to always assure that the retired racers went to homes where both the animal and owners would prove to be both compatible and happy. Sherry was always there to provide information and encouragement and over the years we developed a friendship that will never be forgotten. My heart felt condolences to her family and especially to her husband and my friend, Joel.
