Susanna Reckard Obituary

DANVILLE - Susanna M. Reckard, widow of former Centre College Dean E.C. "Pete" Reckard, died in Claremont, CA, on April 8. She was 86. A Danville resident from 1972 through 1985, Mrs. Reckard was born in Lewisburg,WV, graduated from Agnes Scott College in Atlanta and served in the Navy during World War II. She is survived by sons Scott of Laguna Beach, CA; Frank of Santa Fe, NM; Matthew of Ester, AK; Charles of Warwick, RI; and Mark of Santa Monica, CA. A memorial service is planned Sat, April 21, in Claremont. Donations: Pilgrim Place, 660 Avery Road, Claremont, CA 91711, or the Southern Poverty Law Center.
