He enjoyed golfing, fishing and good bourbon. Survivors other than his wife include a stepdaughter, Chrissy Anderson (Mike Casserly); two grandchildren, Chase and Cameron Casserly; a special cousin, Mary B. Scott; and many close cousins and relatives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Lee Armentrout; and a brother, Raymond Lee Armentrout. Funeral services will be held 10 am Tues., Jan. 29, at Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 605 Hill N Dale Dr., Lexington, KY 40503. I am very sorry for your loss. I've been a patient at his dental office for many years. I saw him pretty recently had no idea it would be the last time. I will truly miss him. He was so funny, personable, and awesome. Overall just a one of a kind great wonderful person. I found out too late to go to the visitation or funeral unfortunately. But my heart is with you and I'm saying some prayers for everyone hurting. Here's to hope and healing and remembering the happy times.

I am so sorry for your loss. I first met Dr. Armentrout in the early 1980's when I was a nontraditional graduate student at UK and he was working in the faculty dental clinic. Not only did he "give me my smile back" he became a treasured friend over the years. I have never known a more kind, caring, compassionate man. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

I'm just devastated by the sudden loss of this very special man, and one I cherished as a very professional dentist of the utmost degree.
Condolences to Paula, and the extended family; including the close knit group of professionals and staff at the practice. He will truly be sorely missed by anyone who ever knew him, in any capacity at all. A truly rare individual!

I went to school with Tim , he was one of the sweetest , kindest most helpful friends I ever knew. His skills in dentistry are still the best I have seen in 36 years since we graduated. He was kind to every member of our class. He was a man of integrity and was very happy when he found his wife and they married. God bless and keep him!
