Virgie M. BROWN

BROWN Virgie M, of Lexington, KY, passed away April 1, 2011 after a lengthy illness. She was born Aug 31, 1927 to the late George (Daddy Joe) and Margaret Arnold Hanley. She was the widow of the late Robert D. Brown. Virgie was a member of Consolidated Baptist Church where she was a member of the 1954 Ministry, Health Ministry, and the original senior choir. Prior to her retirement she was a health care provider. She was preceded in death by her son Lawrence D. Brown and daughters Bessie M. Lynch, Cutrophia J. Harkless, and Shirley Y. Beatty. She is survived by her loving sister and best friend Margaret Givens; brothers, Shirley E. (Renee) Arnold and George J. Arnold Jr.; sons Rev. Charles T. (JonElla) Gaines, Rev. Robert T (Marian) Brown, Daniel A (Diane) Brown, Command Seargeant Major (Retired) Dwight J. (Angela) Brown, Kenneth C. Brown and daughters, Valerie L. (Joe) Bradley, Beverly Darnell, Virgie J. Demeritte, an devoted son-in-law Paul W. Demeritte Sr. and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, great great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Home going will be held on April 9, 2011 at Consolidated Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 10-11:30am. Masonic rites are from 11:30am-12:30pm. Funeral service follows at 1pm.
