Jeffery Raynier Obituary
Algoma - Jeffery Joseph Raynier, 57, Algoma, passed away April 17, 2018 at Door County Memorial Hospital. He was born June 8, 1960 to Joseph and Ione (Keller) Raynier.
Jeff married Jeanene Berg Aug 18, 1984.
He served in the United States Army Reserves from 1979 until 1985. He was an avid Packer, Brewer and Badger fan and loved watching Nascar races with his family.
He worked at the Algoma Hardwoods from 1983 until 2007 when his heart problems forced him to disability. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Rankin.
Jeff is survived by his wife Jeanene, his two daughters Heather (Jake) and Jamie; two grandsons Donovan and Owen; mother and step father Ione (Don) Schwantes, his siblings Joan (Tim) LeFevre, Terri (Mark) Lindbo, Cindy (Jim) Sommer, Bill Raynier, Peggy (David) Villers, Joe Raynier, Sharon (Jim) Rozell, Kevin Schwantes and Brad Schwantes; his Godchild Nick Villers; nieces and nephews; Mother-in-law LeVerne Berg, brothers-in-law Randy (Cyndi) Berg, Brian (Melissa) Berg and Blaine (Nita) Berg.
He was preceded in death by his dad and step-mother Joe (Arvilla) Raynier, his paternal and maternal grandparents, father-in-law Hervy Berg and many aunts and uncles.
Family and friends may gather at St. John's Lutheran Church, Rankin, Monday, April 23, 2018 from 9:00 AM until the Memorial Service at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Dr. Christopher Jackson officiating.
The family wants to give a special thank you to the many wonderful healthcare workers during the last 18 years. The transplant team from UW Health- Madison, Dr. Kristen Powell from Luxemburg Prevea and Katie Hampton from Cardiology Associates of Bellin. Katie you helped heal his body (to many times to count); but, more importantly you put his mind at ease and lifted his spirit. You always were there for him. Thank you Jeanene, Heather and Jamie.
