Pagel, William (Bill) J.

William (Bill) J Pagel passed away at home on Thursday, January 16, 2014. He was born September 30, 1939, in Algoma to the late Emil and Annette (Melchoir) Pagel.

Bill was a very special person, a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, who touched the lives of many through his kindness and generosity. His last wish in life was that he lived long enough to have his great-grandchildren remember him. His wish will be granted as his great-grandchildren will remember and cherish the love, patience and devoted attention that he showed each one of them. He was a one of a kind and will be missed by his family and friends.

Bill was the loving husband of Grace (nee Popp) for 51 years. He was the loving father of Karen (Randy) Theys, Tracy (Steve) Pagel and Aimee (Jarrow) Williquette. Proud grandpa of Matthew (Rachel) Solchenberger, Michael Solchenberger (special friend Bobbie) and Jessica Pagel. Proud great-grandpa to Lakelyn, James, Ayden and Jayda. He is further survived by his brothers Richard (Gloria) Pagel, Dave (Ann) Pagel, John (Joni) Pagel, other nieces, nephew, cousins, relatives and friends.

Family and friends may call at SCHINDERLE FUNERAL HOME, Algoma from 4 - 7 PM, Sunday, January 19, 2014. Prayer service will be held at 7 PM at the funeral home with Pastoral Minister Kathy Zeman.

A special thank you to Unity Hospice for the excellent care, compassion and kindness they have shown to Bill. In lieu of flowers donations to Unity Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
