Joseph Albert "Joe" Puhl

Joseph "Joe" Albert Puhl, 64, died on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 in Whitewater Healthcare Center in St. Charles, MN. Joe was born on November 15, 1960 to Richard Louis and Mary Darlene (Durkin) Puhl in Elmhurst, IL. He graduated from the University of Missouri – Rolla in 1982. Shortly after, Joe married Lisa Reed in Kansas City, MO in 1982. He was an engineer at IBM for 30 years. Joe enjoyed playing, watching and reffing soccer, designing a computer game, pottery, and mowing grass. Joe is survived by his wife, Lisa Puhl; son, Ben Puhl of Minnetonka, MN; siblings, Kathy (Bob) Luetkenhoelter of Lee's Summit, MO and Mike (Helen) Puhl of Tulsa, OK; and 2 grandchildren. Joe was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Susan Puhl. A memorial service will be at 11am on Saturday, October 25 at Rochester Cremation Services, 1605 Civic Center Drive NW, Rochester, MN, with visitation from 10-11am and continuing after the service. Father Nick Mezacapa is officiating. A light luncheon will be served. Memorials may be given to NAMI Southeast Minnesota.
