Monica Indykiewicz Obituary

Monica Grace (Seykora) Indykiewicz, 85, of Rochester, died peacefully on July 26, 2025 at The Mayo Clinic, St. Marys campus, surrounded by her family.. Monica was born on May 11, 1940 to Sigmund and Mary Seykora. She lived on the family farm and went to country school. In 1952, the family moved to Owatonna, where she graduated from Owatonna High School in 1958. After graduating, Monica attended Mankato School of Cosmetology. Monica was united in marriage to Keith Indykiewicz on September 1, 1959 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Owatonna. She worked as a hairdresser for a few years and then became a stay at home mom for her daughter and son Monica enjoyed camping, fishing, bowling and travels in their motor home. Monica is survived by her husband of 65 years, Keith; daughter, Suzette (Mark) Oslund and son, Todd (Ann) Indykiewicz. She was preceded in death by her father, Sigmund; her mother, Mary; 6 brothers and 2 sisters. A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Church of the Resurrection Catholic Church, 1600 11th Ave. SE, Rochester. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service. Father James Steffes will be the celebrant and the final resting place will be Oakwood Cemetery, at a later date.
