Clyde was the best neighbor and friend a person could ask for - we felt blessed to have him in our lives. He was one of the most generous people I have ever met - whatever I needed, he was there with a smile. And he did the same for so many people across Virginia Beach - sharing homemade pickles, spiced pecans, vegetables from the garden, and when he couldn't garden any longer, he would make the drive out to Pungo just to get the very best produce to share with everyone he met. I hope that he and Ruth and Billy are all together in Heaven - reunited.

Clyde was such a sweet generous man. Clyde and his wife Ruth were one of the reasons we purchased our home in Virginia Beach. They were the very best neighbors. Over the years he became a member of our family. Everyday when I walk out our front door and see the house across the street and know that he moved away a few years ago I feel a loss. Now there is an even larger loss because I know that I can no longer pick up the phone and call him, I will miss our chats. Tom & Rosemary
