Eunice Parker Obituary
Funeral services for the immediate family will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2020, at Beech Grove United Methodist Church in New Bern, NC with the internment occurring at 2:30 p.m. in the church cemetery for friends and family. Viewing will be held Friday, December 11, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Pollock-Best Funeral Home and Saturday, December 12, 2020, at Beech Grove United Methodist Church from 12 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. The service will be officiated by the Rev. Connie Stutts, and the Rev. Michael Roach with messages of hope and faith.
Mrs. Parker was born in Craven County, on August 14, 1924, the daughter of the late George and Sally Bray. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Lucille Pittman, Ward Bray and Dick Bray. Mrs. Parker is survived by her sons Joseph Christopher Parker and wife Lynne of Shelby, NC; George Randolph Parker and wife Lou Ann of Henderson, NC, eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Parker was a partner with her husband in marriage for sixty-seven years. During those years, she helped raise their two sons, taught Sunday School classes for children, sang in church choirs, worked in multiple ladies' groups, and further supported her husband in all areas of the ministry, serving Methodist churches in eastern North Carolina.
Online condolences may be made at www.pollockbest.com. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Eunice B. Parker may be made to the Joseph C. and Eunice B. Parker Scholarship at Lenoir Community College Foundation, PO Box 188, Kinston, NC 28502.
