MIA HODLEMAN HORN

MIA HODLEMAN HORN Mia Holdeman Horn, 58, peacefully left her earthly home and Heaven had a celebration when she arrived in her eternal home on September 24, 2023, at home in Garden City, Kansas. Mia was born in Wichita, Kansas on April 25, 1965, to John (Jack) and Marilyn Holdeman. Graduated from Garden City High School in 1983, & Garden City Community College Cosmetology in 1984. Jerry Horn and Mia were united in marriage May 1, 1986, in Garden City, Kansas. To this union they had a son DaRyan. Mia was a Hairdresser and a Cosmetology Instructor at Garden City Community College. In 2010 Mia started her earthly battle of cancer. Her Christian faith was very important to her. With the start of this battle her goal was to tell of God's love and to share the Gospel message of Salvation to everyone she met. Mia's heart, smile and laugh brought so much comfort and encouragement to many, many people. Mia's favorite bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Her Favorite Song is "What a friend we have in Jesus" Mia is survived by husband Jerry Horn, Sons DaRyan (Giselle) Horn, Redman, Washington, Grandbaby on the way! Jeremy (Tracey) Horn, Wichita, Kansas. Mother Marilyn Holdeman. Sisters Casandra (Ken) Vanatta and Jacalyn (Carl) Mai. Sister-in-law Deb (Mickey) Cobb. Grandchildren Brenden & Brilynn Horn and Madison and Tyler Morse. Nieces Jennifer Crawford, Miranda (Dalton) Boggs, Jamie (Ron) Urias, Nephews Brent (Megan) Stallman, Holden (Danielle) Mai, and several very loved great and great-great nieces and nephews. Mia was preceded in death by her father John (Jack) Holdeman, mother and father-in-law Betty and Floyd Horn. A private family service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Mia requested that memorial contributions be made to The Mia Horn Memorial Cosmetology Scholarship at the Garden City Community College in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 412 North 7th St. Garden City, KS 67846.
