Pamela Baughman Obituary

Pamela "Pennie" Baughman passed into Glory on October 8, 2025. She was born on July 28, 1946, in Kansas City, Missouri to Glenn Sr and Dorothy Rhodes. Pennie grew up in Kansas City before moving her career to Dallas, Texas. From Dallas, Pennie moved with her daughters (Danielle and Tiffany), rearing them in the Austin, Texas area. After Danielle and Tiffany's graduation, Pennie moved to Houston, Texas to care for her father, Glenn Sr. Eventually, Pennie returned to Kansas City, where she spent her later years.

Pennie cherished every moment with her friends and family, and was happiest and found the most joy when spending time with her family. Her remarkable generosity touched the lives of many, and she will always be remembered for the warmth and kindness she showed with those around her.

Pennie was preceded in death by her parents.

Pennie is survived by her husband, Dr. Russell Baughman of Kansas City, formerly of Kirksville, her two daughters, Danielle Freeman of Dallas, Texas and Tiffany (Jason) Cotton of Austin, Texas and grandchildren Brooke Cotton and Chase (Hunter) Cotton of Austin, Texas and Russ' son, Dr. Steven Baughman (Alison) and grandchildren Evan, Carter, and Ian of Chicago land.

Visitation will take place at 1:00 on November 15 at the Faith Lutheran Church, 1820 S. Baltimore St., Kirksville, MO 63501. Following the visitation, a celebration of life service will start at 2:00. Interment at the Park View Memorial Gardens cemetery will follow shortly after the service.
