Grant Wixom Obituary

Grant Warren Wixom

Tahuya, WA

March 29, 1953 to June 17, 2018

Grant Warren Wixom, the undisputed peoples champion of the world, passed away vehemently in his home in Tahuya, Wa on Sunday June 17, 2018.

He became self-aware on March 29, 1953 in Ogden, Utah.

Grant challenged the Federal government for thirty-one years as an 'employee' and Air Force Veteran.

Survived by his grandchildren; Colin, Chloe and Cayla derived from daughter Amme O'Grady.

Samantha, Andrew, Jade, and Riley blessed to Shawna Wixom.

And Maximus, Iris and Ivory from Jessica Bailey.

Sons Elijah Wixom and Anthony Bailey are childless.

Grant perfected drunk fishing and backing a boat and trailer down a driveway. He seemed to know just about everything. And could make any home repair with a hammer and roll of duct tape.

Grant loved his friends and family passionately, encouraging everyone to be there for each other.

He was sentimental towards antiques, needy pets and the Hood Canal. He played music at high volumes, talked like Johnny Cash and would surprise you when he cried.

There's not a million Grants in this world and when you meet one, you'll know it.

In honor of Grant's passions, in lieu of flowers please make a donation to Veteran Affairs.

My dear Grant. Today is your birthday. I went on fb to wish you Happy Birthday!! What a shock, when I read you had passed in June. I sent you a Christmas card last year! You didn't call with your bubbly voice. I just figured you were busy. Hope you are with Gary in Heaven. Maybe you two are eating your prized oysters, or playing cards. No more of your mom's chicken pot pies you'd made. You were the best neighbor.

Glenn,Cindy,Robert, Bryan, Brandon, brother, brother in law, and uncle Grant will truly be missed by our family H was my children's favorite uncle. I will always remember him calling me his hero every time we talked on the phone. Grant was an artist and made a lot of different pieces He was very good at what he created But we will remember him mostly for his outpouring love for life and his fellow man, I remember when he did come into some money when his parents died he didn't spend it on himself instead he bought some goats and chickens for people in Africa, that was because of his loving heart. We will miss you and remember you my Brother until we meet again.
