Jeff was born in Bremerton April 19, 1949 to Mary and Kenneth Wentworth. He passed February 23, 2019. Jeff graduated from West High school in 1967 and spent most of his life in Kitsap county. He is survived by his wife Randi, brother Steve (Raye Wentworth) and much extended family. He spent his last days as he spent his life, surrounded by friends and family. He touched many lives with his kind heart, sense of humor and great affection for his friends and family. Jeff was never shy about telling those he loved how much they meant to him. He was generous and a mentor to many, always willing to give a hand up. Jeff was well known from his days at Kitsap Sports Shop and as an avid, enthusiastic fisherman. Through the years he was involved with NW Stealheaders, Puget Sound Anglers and the Poggie Club. Jeff caught his first fish when he was 6 yrs old and his last at age 68. He shared a seat in his boat and expertise with many over the years and is truly missed. There will be a memorial BBQ held at Tradewinds on the Bay in Tokeland, WA. July 27 at 3pm. All are welcome to attend.

Jeff was not only my best friend knowing him since i was 11 , he was mentor and listener and gave lots of advice on how to handle life problems that I encountered, I valued that. He taught me from a young age fishing , I was spoiled to have had the privilege to have fished and learned from one of the best around and he was truly great at it!!! I never could beat Jeff at fishing he was the best . His own words to me where " I taught you everything you know about fishing, but not everything I know" .My memories of you will never fade the Hewes Craft will be running the ocean for years to come buddy and ripping lips and hopefully I can pass on that wonderful knowledge and skill I was taught to my youngsters . I wish i could have spent more time with Jeff in the boat ,but Jeff is helping prepare a place for us where salmon runs will never run out . Thank you for your friendship and knowledge of fishing I miss you greatly!!!

My Aunt Randi met a wonderful man and brought him into our family. I was lucky enough to call him Uncle Jeff for most of my life. A good man, a loving uncle, and an exceptional friend. Jeff taught me a lot in the time I knew him and I will always be thankful for being his nephew. He had good advice when the situation called for it and would sit and listen for as long as it took when that was what you needed. We were all blessed to know him. I'll never forget you, Uncle.

Jeff was a special friend. I had the privilege of fishing with him for many years mostly on the rivers. He could catch a fish out of a mud puddle! For me it was more than the fishing, it was spending time with him. I will miss him very much!

Jeff was larger than life. From the time he became my brother-in-law, he was always willing to help. He taught me how to actually catch a real salmon! He helped everyone that new him. Whenever you went out fishing with Jeff, he made sure you got yours, even if he had to holler at you. I got to hear him talk fish with damn near every fisherman in the area. Sometimes he even told the truth! Many people will miss Jeff, and many more fish will live longer. Fish on brother Jeff.

Jeff was one of the kindest people I have ever had the honor of knowing. He lived with his whole heart and had more close friends than any one I've ever met. Jeff lived a life full of adventures and could tell a great fish tale until the day he passed. Jeff was a great friend and a really special person in the lives of his nephews They, like many other young people, counted him as one of their best friends. Jeff, I was happy to have you become a part of my family when you married my sister, I don't think she could have a better partner to share her adventures with. Miss you brother.
