Mark Snow Obituary

Mark Raymond Snow was born Decemer 7, 1948 to Norma and Ray Snow in Elma, Washington. He died on November 5, 2019 in San Diego after a life flight from Cabo San Lucas while on vacation. He was 70 years old. Mark was a beloved husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother and uncle.

Mark grew up in Port Orchard as the second of seven kids. He married his high school sweetheart, Diana Herdman in 1969. He graduated with his bachelor's degree in business in 1974 from Washington State University… Go Cougs! Mark was a photographer and frame-maker for many years and also retired from the shipyard in the sheet metal shop. He was a passionate wood worker, even built his own kitchen cabinets for their family home.

An avid boater, skier and photographer, Mark loved being outside and being creative. One of his favorite spots was at a log cabin he built on a lake near Tahuya. Mark did not prefer the lime-light, but loved watching and being surrounded by his family. He loved being with all of his grandkids. He had one great grandson whom he affectionately called "Angel Face."

Mark was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Snow, sister-in-law, Susan Snow and nephew Jessie Snow. He is survived by his wife Diana Snow, his mother Norma Snow, his daughters Megan Skillman (husband Lyle) and Marisa Clayton, his son Nicholas Snow. He had three granddaughters Shaley Garcia (husband Dylan), Lola and Elsie Clayton. He had one grandson Vince Hannem. He had one great-grandson (Angel Face) Jordan Garcia. Mark had many bonus grandchildren through Megan's marriage to Lyle: Nicole Skillman, Shanelle LaCombe (husband Matt), Ashley Schram (husband Brennan) and Noah Skillman. Bonus greatgrandchildren: Kaden, Makayla, Kennedy, Karly, Dylan, Maycee and Jaxon.

Mark Snow will be greatly missed. Diana's quote after he passed, "I got to be married to the love of my life."

A service for Mark will be held at Saint Gabriel's Roman Catholic Church on Friday, November 29th at 11am with a Celebration of Life and time of sharing at Harper Church following the mass.

Rest in peace Snow Man. Snow Man was what his true friends in Shop 17 called Mark. I had the privilege of working with Snow Man for many years and there was never a day he didn't have a story to tell. Snow Man, you will be missed. Please say hello to our fellow Tin Benders who have already completed their final journey.

My greatest sympathies Diana, to you and can, Marisa and Nick. I have such wonderful memories of Mark and some of the great times I had with him. I know I haven't seen you all in the last few years, but think of you guys often, especially on Beach Dr. He loved his family and is proud of you all. RIP my friend. Sorry to miss the service, but please know I'm there in spirit.
