Addie Giles Obituary

GILES, ADDIE "SHIRLEY" KIRKLAND - age 70 of Riceville died Thursday morning, February 1, 2007, at her residence. A native of Monroe County, she was a daughter of the late John and Minnie Lee Shirk Kirkland and was preceded in death by her husband, Aubra Ray Giles, March 13, 2006, a grandson, David Monroe Nunley, a brother, Charles C. Kirkland, and a sister, Nelda Kay Kirkland. She was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Greg Nunley of Riceville; one son and daughter-in-law, Martin Ray and Lisa Giles of Syracuse Utah; two granddaughters, Lexie Giles and Shyam Nunley; two grandsons, Andrew and Tanner Giles; six sisters, Jonnie Sue Kirkland of McDonald, Imogene Kirkland of Madisonville, Annie Pearl Everett of Loudon, Linda Gale Thompson of Sweetwater and Betty June Hagaman of Riverdale, GA; two brothers, Earl Lee "Cotton" Kirkland of Chester, NY, and Burl R. "Buck" Kirkland of Loudon. Funeral service will be 7:30 PM in the Chapel of Jerry Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Oran Creasman officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2:00 PM Sunday at Eastanallee Cemetery for the interment service. Pallbearers will be Mark Burnett, Jimmy Giles, Tim Creasman, Dennie Brown, Bobby Cate and Hal Meyer. If you are unable to attend this service or visitation, you can sign the guest register at www.jerrysmithfuneralhome.com. Jerry Smith Funeral Home of Athens is serving the family of Addie Kirkland Giles.
