Anne Redmon Obituary

REDMON, ANNE - 61, passed away on July 27, 2007 at Fort Sanders Hospital. She attended St. Mary's school in Oak Ridge and later graduated from Bearden High School where she was a majorette with the marching band in 1961-62. She attended Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville. She was a 32-year employee of the Knox County Library retiring in 2006 after working at the downtown branch as Reader's Advisor. She is preceded in death by parents Fred A. Harris and Pearl Baker Harris. She is survived by: five brothers and sisters and spouses; Frances and Tom Shepherd of Murfreesboro Tennessee, Fred and Joan Harris of Charleston South Carolina; Cathey Hughes of Johnson City Tennessee; Will and Joyce Harris of Knoxville and Dorothy Armstrong of Knoxville as well as seven nieces and nephews and seven great nieces and nephews. Anne is survived by her husband of 37 years Lynn Redmon and three step daughters and spouses; Aspascia & Tom Duncan of Clinton Tennessee, Renee and Randall Nichols of Hodges, Alabama and Hope and Jerry Norris of Guin, Alabama as well as eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Memorial Book Fund of the Knox County Public Library. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Monday, July 30, 2007 at Weaver's Chapel with a Memorial service to follow at 8 pm. Rev. Wyn Bryant officiating.
