Arthur Shackelford Obituary

SHACKELFORD, ARTHUR D. - age 80 of Knoxville, passed away peacefully at home Sunday February 17, 2008. Member and Deacon of Central Baptist Church Fountain City. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the United States Army. Preceded in death by parents: Dewey and Mina Shackelford. Survivors: loving wife of 55 years, Helen Mauk Shackelford; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen A. and Carolyn Shackelford; daughter and son-in-law, Carol S. and Chaplain Major William R. Cruze; grandchildren, Lauren Shackelford, Alex Cruze, Lindsey Shackelford and Abbey Cruze; sister, Mary Wagner; nieces, Linda Clairmont, Diana Kinch and Vicki Shelton; sisters-in-law, Dot Arning and husband: Vic, Mary Frances Secrist and husband: Harry, Wanda Wilcox and husband: Sam. Family and friends will meet 1:45 pm Tuesday at Lynnhurst Cemetery for a graveside service at 2 pm, Rev. Ron Mouser officiating. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to Lottie Moon or Annie Armstrong Missions c/o Central Baptist Church Fountain City. Mynatt Funeral Home Ftn.
