We were out of the country when Calvin went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ. Our hearts hurt for you and we know you will miss Calvin greatly. May our Lord continue to give you strength and courage for the days and months to come. We all are shocked but I know our Lord's grace, mercy, love and peace is more than sufficient. May you take comfort in Him and know that Calvin loved each one of you with all of his heart and life.

Gail - Please accept my sincere sympathy for the loss of Calvin. Even though you and I are related through the Bates family tree, I actually knew him better than I did you. He was such a nice person and co-worker at the old Park Bank. I just saw his name recently in a book that Marvin Powers compiled about the Park and was pleased to remember those days and Calvin.

I was totally shocked and very sorry to hear about Calvin's passing. We all have different ways to grieve--I hope this will help.Ever since I lost my daughter,Shannon,I loved this quote--as related to Calvin. Calvin will never be more than a thought apart. For as long as we have a memory he will always be in our hearts.

my heart aches at the emptiness you must feel at the passing of BOPPY,but we find comfort in the promise that we will see him again! Boppy was a kind,gentle soul. He was humble and of impeccable character. Boppy was his kids and grandchildrens greatest fan.I will miss him at all the family functions,but I'm sure he will be with us in spirit.

Growing up playing sports in Halls you always felt like you had a extended family. I had a brother in Ryan. Gail and Calvin were at every basketball and baseball game to cheer for us and pick us up when we were down. I am so gratefully for the Browning family. Although I mourn the loss I am reminded of God's promise and take refuge in the fact I will see Calvin in heaven. We love you and are praying for you.

I was so sorry to hear about Calvin. I worked with him just a little over a year at the Gay Street office of Regions. He was always so friendly and welcoming. Having never met a stranger, he made sure to talk with me each time he saw me. And always treated the branch to fried apple fritters on Mondays from Petes. He will truly be missed and I am so sorry for your loss.
