Charles Robert (Bob) Holt, 72; 1944- 2017, of Daphne, Alabama, formerly of Oak Ridge, TN, passed from this earth on April 13, 2017. Mr. Holt was a near lifetime resident of Oak Ridge from 1944-2015.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Hollis and Florence; brother, John. He is survived by his son, Aaron, of Daphne; brother, Tom, of St. Paul, MN; aunts, cousins, nephews, and nieces.

Bob graduated ORHS in 1962, and Knoxville Technical Vocational Institute in 1963. A highly skilled technician in the machine tool industry, Bob applied his trade to Delta Airlines, Electro-tech, Neal Tool and Machine, and Vacuum Technologies. Bob was a Deacon and part-time Pastor in his church. He was a good citizen, loyal friend, and compassionate neighbor. He served many years as crime-watch captain of his Highland View neighborhood. Bob was an avid hunter, fisherman, and was a long time member of the Oak Ridge Sportsman Club. He also enjoyed strength training and was a member of Golds Gym and the O. R. Weight Lifters Club.

Bob will be dearly missed by family, friends, and neighbors. By his request, he is to be cremated and no memorial service will be held.
