Powell, TN - Charles E. Shreve, age 86, of Powell, TN passed away July 4, 2021. Charlie was born January 18, 1935 in Inskip, TN. He graduated from Fulton High School in 1954 and attended the University of Tennessee. He served with the 6th Engineers United States Marine Corp. He was a member of Oakwood Methodist Church where he taught youth Sunday School and was a youth counselor for over 40 years and choir member for over 50 years. He was Metal Shop Manager at John H. Coleman Co. for over 25 years and taught school as a vocational instructor in Anderson County Schools. He was co-owner and President of Year Round Comfort, Inc. He was an "ASA" softball pitcher for 41 years and pitched the first slow pitch perfect game ever recorded in Knoxville and Knox County.

Preceded in death by parents, Vernon E. and Mary Newell (Paul) Shreve; sisters, Betty Jean Shreve and Carolyn Phipps; brother, Bill Shreve. Survived by wife of 65 years Sherry Radar Shreve; daughters, Teresa Shelton, Twila Shreve and Flecia Shreve; brothers, Kenneth (Lucille), Bob (Sandy) and Wayne (Becky) Shreve; sister, Mary Lay; grandson, Jeremy Miller; granddaughter, Cheyenne Shelton.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Lynnhurst Cemetery. Rev. John Jackson will officiate. Arrangements by Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Drive, Knoxville, TN (865) 689-8888.
