ATKINS, CLAUDIA JULIAN SUTTON, age 85, of Madisonville, widow of Glen Dean Atkins, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 13, 2018 surrounded by family. She was a member of Rocky Springs Baptist Church. She worked and retired as a Chapter 1 teacher's aide from the Monroe County school system. She was a loving wife, mama and nana. Preceded in death by parents, Claude and Effie Bledsoe Sutton; sister, Louise Green; brothers, Gillis, J.C. and Raymond Sutton; sons-in-law, James Key and Jackson O'Dell, Jr. Survivors include: Daughters and sons-in-law, DeLois Key O'Dell, Jane and Mike Davenport, Mary Ann and Wayne Trentham; Grandchildren, April Key Debity, James Glen Key (Jessica), Michael Davenport (Kristie), Sara Spiva (David), Elizabeth Collins (Shawn), Jonathan Trentham (Jennifer); 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; Brothers, Kenneth Sutton, Bobby Green; Several nieces and nephews. Graveside service and interment 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 23, McClellan Cemetery, Rev. Greg McCosh officiating. Memorials may be made to McClellan Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 100, Madisonville, TN 37354. The Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
