DOTSON, DACHANNA DESHAY - age 17, of Knoxville, departed this life, suddenly, June 9, 2010. Preceded in death by mother, Lachanna "Shari" Dotson; father, Jimmy Lee"Squallie" Smith. Survivors, dedicated and loving grandmothers, Arnette Dotson, Knoxville, and Sherryl Minor, Atlanta, GA; brothers, William "Daddy" Dotson, Joshua "J Roc" Davenport; sister, Jinnicea Sullivan, all of Knoxville; devoted uncle, James. R. Johnson: Busta,"; devoted great aunt, Tammy Nolan Smith, Knoxville; best friend, Jaye Christopher, Knoxville; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends to include, Austin East Magnet High School, class of 2011. Family will receive friends, 1:30-2:30 p.m., Monday at Eternal Life Harvest Center, Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue; funeral service, 1:30 p.m., Rev. James Davis, Officiating. Interment New Gray Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to Jarnigan & Son Mortuary. Arrangements by Jarnigan & Son Mortuary www.jarnigansmortuary.com

So sorry for the lost of dachanna. Just could not bring myself to go to the service. Just look to God only he knows and will confort you in this time of loss.

I did not know muffin but I have seen Ms.Arnette,so I am very sadden of the loss you all must bare. God has a plan and even through this we must trust him. The entire community shares your grief. Although there are no words that can take away your pain, we have a heavenly Father who will one day wipe all of our tears away. Call on Him early in the morning and late in the midnight hour, He hears and He cares. Most of all He loves us!

Muffin, I will always remember your big brown eyes gazing at me and your chubby cheeks smiling as you sat on the tarps and listened to the lesson at Sidewalk Sonday School in Austin Homes. You will be missed here and now but we will see you again someday.

I know that sometimes you may feel that the pain is unbearable, but God will sustain you through all of this.
