Eleimon (Pantelis) Merianos age 60 of Knoxville passed away on Wednesday June 12, 2018. Pantelis was born in Corfu, Greece and came to the United States in 1990. Preceded in death by parents, Spiros and Elena Merianos. He is survived by wife of twenty eight years, Terry Beeler Merianos; beloved canine companion, May; Godson, Spiros Merianos; sisters, Maria (Spiros), Voula (Antonis), and Dena (Michales); special cousin, Thomas Merianos; mother-in-law, Martha Lee Beeler; brother-in-law, Gary (Debbie) Beeler; nieces and nephews to include, Tasia (Yannis), Dena, Eleni, Zoe, Spirodula, Christina, Christos, Elena, Vassilis, Konstantinos, Antonis, Storm, Misty, and Rhett; special friends, Mark and Jamie Smith, Jimmy and Demetra Regas, Christos and Amelia Merianos, Dora, Tina, and Michael Merianos, Trace Kerns, Jackie and Sophie Wright, Brett Bivens, Ryan Greenleee, and Holland Ricker. Pantelis was the owner along with his wife of The Penny Pawn and Martha Lee Jewelry where he made many long lasting friendships. Pantelis served two years in the Greek Army and seven years with the Greek Merchant Marines. He travelled all over the world. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, and was an avid collector of antique fishing equipment. A special thank you to Debbie, Molly, and Sherry of Tennova Hospice and his caregiver Yyonna Hansard for such loving care. He was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Saturday June 16, 2018, at ROSE MORTUARY BROADWAY CHAPEL. A Trisagion Prayer Service will follow at 7:00 pm with Father Anthony Stratis officiating. Pantelis' wish was to be buried on his beloved island of Corfu which will take place at a later date. In lieu of flower memorials may be made to the local ALS Foundation or the Greek Orthodox Church. May his memory be eternal.
